What price tag do you put on your life?

What price tag do you put on your priceless life or that of your loved ones? It sounds like a very harsh question to ask, putting a figure on our life, doesn’t it? Well, insurance companies have their ways to formulate and assess the monetary worth of pretty much anything.
Generally speaking, insurance companies perform risk assessments to determine the likelihood of future losses, and based on that, take the average severity to determine the cost of a claim. Sounds very reasonable, right? For example, I pay a little over $3k (per year) for my Auto insurance policies and also pay $X amount for my home insurance policy, my business insurance, my health insurance, and the list can go on and on. Some of us also purchased a life insurance policy on top of everything else. But let’s be honest, none of these take proactive measures to prevent incidents. What these policies insure is some financial protection against damage to recover your losses. But after all, no price can recoup a lost life.
On the other hand, we can take proactive measures by gearing up to prevent damage in the first place. Prepare ourselves and our loved ones for situations that could happen at any time. Because it’s up to us to make sure our lives are well lived.
