Our SAPI (Small Arms Protective Insert) insert protects you against all handgun threats up to .44 Magnum. OPX-ELITE backpack is the ONLY soft armor in the market that stops FNH 5.7x28mm GREEN TIP, LAW ENFORCEMENT AMMO, (SS198LF) at point-blank range.
The SAPI insert panel is TSA approved, and consists of hybrid configuration layers of DuPont™ Kevlar® KM2+ in conjunction with layers of Uni-Directional UHMWPE, resulting in the following ballistic performance:
- V50 ballistic limit for .44 Mag: 1804 ft/s
- Average Backface Signature (BFS): 36 mm
- Areal Density: 1.18 lb/sq ft
- Thickness: 0.29" inch (Only the armor insert without its Cordura 1000D sleeve)

Care instruction for the ballistic panels of the Vest
1) The panel must be properly placed into the outer carrier
2) The panel must not be permitted to be excessively wet.
3) The panel must not be subjected to excessive heat.
4) The panel must be properly stored (i.e., not in excessively hot or damp conditions)
Care instruction for the Carrier (Vest)
1) Machine wash normal
2) Do not bleach
3) Tumble dry low
4) Do not iron
Care instruction for Backpack and SAPI insert panels covered by CORDURA fabric
Our ballistic panel inserts are covered with a high-performance 1000D CORDURA which is a Nylon-based fabric. For cleaning purposes, CORDURA fabric can be gently sprayed with a non-Chlorine or bleach-based cleaners. Simply use two teaspoons of Dawn hand dish soap (NOT antibacterial) and mix it with one quart of water in a spray bottle. Now you should directly spray the soapy water solution that you made on the ballistic insert's cover (CORDURA) and quickly wipe it with a clean and dry cloth.
